The sculpture is intended to imply movement:  the ovoid shapes are moving in a line, and the visual motion is accentuated by the overlaying linear elements that vibrate around and through the progressing “wheels”. The bright warm colors are gradated in order to enliven and add to the forward flow of the composition.
